Created in 1936 by Georges Grimmeisen the design of the Springcourt shoe revolutionised the game of tennis by creating a comfortable, light, durable, self ventilating shoe. The ventilation is provided by holes in the vulcanised sole that act as an air sole providing cushioning and ventilation. Through the decades they have been picked up by many an icon including the Gallacher's and famously, John Lennon got married in a pair.

There is a timeless simplicity to the shoes that sees the design remained virtually unchanged some 7 decades later.
