We spotted one of our brands in the media again this month. This time it was the turn of some Karen Walker sunglasses from her range of high-end eyewear to make the limelight in Nylon magazine. Anna Chlumsky wore a pair of “Believer” sunglasses for a photoshoot promoting her upcoming movie “In The Loop” which has been directed by acclaimed satirist and Steve Coogan collaborator Armando Ianucci. The film is his first directorial cinema release and was premiered in January this year at the Sundance Film Festival where it was applauded by critics both here in the U.K. and the U.S.
Armando must be pretty happy with his debut as it became the 8th biggest box office draw in it’s opening week at cinemas! Apparently, it’s rumoured that during his research for the film he used his BBC press pass to charm his way into the US State Department headquarters where he then spent over an hour taking photos to help his set designers. Love it! Prior to “In The Loop”, Anna was best known for playing Vada Sultenfuss in the 1991 movie My Girl and the 1994 sequel My Girl 2 (no, us neither!) but hopefully “In The Loop” will give her a step up to bigger things and provide plenty of excuses for her to wear even more Karen Walker glasses!
