Next Tuesday sees the start of the Shoreditch Design Triangle. The general low down is that a load of really dope shops, galleries etc open late next Tuesday for one night only wine and dine punters and put on a little do. As we mentioned yesterday we are hosting the launch of the Carhartt Heritage line. Below is the invite. Click the Shoreditch Design Triangle logo to download the map!

We like it when people go the extra mile. A little bit of thought into what they are doing, a little bit of finesse and care will set you in a good stride going forward and that is exactly what the girls at Pap.il.ion have done. A pending new club night set to take the London scene by storm the girls have put together this great promo video and mix to give the blogosphere a little taster. The good folk at Leisure put us on to this.
Definitely one of our favourite photographers, long term vice collaborator and purveyor of the voyeuristic shot, Richard Kern’s work is being exhibited just round the corner at 33 – 34 Hoxton Square, running until the 26th June. One to see for sure.
Our regular customers will know we have been updating the store, we have completed around half of the planned changes which include new lighting, new interior colour and other elements, all of which will become apparent in good time. However one of the changes we would like to share with you now is the windows which have been completed in a traditional sign writers style. The windows were undertaken by friend and local artist Word To Mother. Having hand painted signage is a increasingly forgotten art, and in these days of a heightened appreciation of craftsmanship its the sort of element that we feel proudly raises the bar against the norm of the standard sticky decal. The process is extremely time consuming so its easy to see how it has fallen by the way to much faster and more accurate processes. The finished result has all the imperfections of a human hand… and we think looks incredible.
