October 25th, 2009 by Simon

Recent addition to the goodhood stable, Reigning Champ, have already wowed us with their recent collection of top quality gear, and now they’re pushing our buttons once with this top-end collaboration – Happy days! This time they’ve hooked up with Surrender, a hot brand from Singapore, to create the thermal lined “3XDry” coach’s jacket. The Jacket combines a very effective thermal lining with a Schoeller 3XDry treatment to the outer layer which keeps things waterproof but with the added benefit of breathability.

Goodhood x Thats Right Presents El Social

FRIDAY 30TH OCTOBER

at The Book Club, Leonard Street Ec2.

Morgan Zarate, Darkstar, Olmino and Katie Skills

An evening of seriously good music, all night long. Just for fun!

Once again we will be joined by the mighty Morgan Zarate. Morgan spends most of his time locked up in his Hackney studio making serious soul music. Working on solo material as well as producing for other artists, his forthcoming projects are something to look forward to. But until then, its all about catching him bump the dancefloor. Morgan rocked our last party, and we feel privileged to have him back.

Next on the line up is the seriously talented and soon to be massive Darkstar. It’s hard to know what to say about Darkstar, other than watch out!!! We love Darkstar. Seriously.

Finally, we present to you.. Goodhood’s very own super playa… Mr Olmino, who along with Katie Skills, will be getting things warmed up nicely.

Head Porter Bags

October 23rd, 2009 by red

We’re very lucky people. We get to spend our time surrounded by some of our favourite labels and their stunning ranges, but that doesn’t mean we don’t like to keep our eyes peeled for other top quality stuff that takes our fancy, and today we want to share with you some great products from a brand we admire a lot, Head Porter. We recently saw a preview of some of their new carry-wear and it blew us away – items range from day bags and totes to much smaller items like wallets, purses and pouches.

Ever wondered what would happen if two of the most free-thinking minds of fashion design and music came together? Well, the answer can be found on the cover of the 2007 album “Volta” by the Icelandic artist, Bjork. We’ve always liked the uniqueness of the cover with its psychedelic, yellow submarine-esque sculpture with Bjork’s little head poking out, it’s like some sort of crazy Russian doll on acid. Even though the album has been out for a couple of years now, it was only recently we discovered that the sculpture was actually a life-size “suit” that Bjork actually wore (not photoshop sneakiness!) by none other than one of our top brand designers Bernhard Willhelm!

October 22nd, 2009 by Sindy

Went to see the band Girls the other night. They’re not girls…they’re boys…but with long hair. Ironic yes, but very impressive non the less. It was like being in 5th year again with lots of lovely long haired boys everywhere. Anyway I loved them, so if you haven’t heard them then be sure to give em a listen. Big up to my wee brother for workin it on the door and getting us in for freeeee. Nice.
