New Windows at the store
April 26th, 2010 by KyleOur regular customers will know we have been updating the store, we have completed around half of the planned changes which include new lighting, new interior colour and other elements, all of which will become apparent in good time. However one of the changes we would like to share with you now is the windows which have been completed in a traditional sign writers style. The windows were undertaken by friend and local artist Word To Mother. Having hand painted signage is a increasingly forgotten art, and in these days of a heightened appreciation of craftsmanship its the sort of element that we feel proudly raises the bar against the norm of the standard sticky decal. The process is extremely time consuming so its easy to see how it has fallen by the way to much faster and more accurate processes. The finished result has all the imperfections of a human hand… and we think looks incredible.
