Now we don’t want to sound arrogant, but we know our stock is quality – but it’s always nice to have it confirmed by other people. Following our recent posts about form and function in design and the importance of quality and details when it comes to quality clothing and accessories it was nice to hear that another of our function lead brands has won a pretty prestigious award for one of their products. This time is was the turn of Gregory Mountain Products to bring home the silverware for their Targhee Backcountry ski and snowboard backpack.
The editors of “Outside Magazine” in Sacramento, CA awarded Gregory their “Gear of the Year” award for 2009 / 2010 which forms part of their annual buying guide which is out this month and is a must for anyone who’s serious about the outdoor lifestyle. Beating off over 20 other competing products, the Targhee won the award hands down with Buyer’s Guide editor Sam Moulton commenting “This is one of the toughest, most versatile winter packs we’ve seen,” said Buyer’s Guide editor Sam Moulton. “With a 2,100-cubic- inch volume, slick design, and various ski and board carrying options, it proved ideal for everything from quick dawn patrols to all-day tours.”
