Not too long ago it was Halloween, and that’s as good an excuse as any to show you this recent seasonally apt vinyl release from goodhood brand Medicom. Tapping into the Halloween vein, they’ve taken inspiration from the Tim Burton stop motion / claymation animated movie, Nightmare Before Christmas and given Disney’s main man Mickey Mouse a Jack Skellington twist. The figure has been produced in a hand painted grayscale colour scheme and the combination of the two characters works a treat.
Medicom are also set to release some larger versions of their more hardcore Mickey Mouse variations – The Runaway Brain Mickey Mouse series. The new figures will be available in roughly 12” models as opposed to the previous 7”’s. The figures are actually based on a Disney animation short which see’s Mickey freak out after a series of chemically induced unfortunate events with classic baddie Dr. Frankenollie – kinda makes you want to be a kid again! Both releases should be available from early next year.
