Having just taken a look at the punk inspired new collaboration between goodhood favourite Opening Ceremony and American footwear brand Keds, we thought we’d show you a little of Opening Ceremony’s full footwear line for 2010. The flamboyant patterns and materials are gone in favour of more traditional designs with subtle Opening Ceremony touches that give each style their own individuality without going over the top.
One thing these guys are great at is taking a fairly traditional footwear design and mixing it up by blending materials and switching round sole units and all these tricks are used to great effect in this varied collection. For example a traditional Oxford style shoe is bought bang up to date with a side zip and several of their designs for this spring / summer range feature a great suede pleat effect and lots of the items have a Dr Martens / Air Wear style sole unit which gives the range a far chunkier, hard wearing feel than previous collections.
