It’s good to be proud of your roots which is why it’s nice to see goodhood brand Reigning Champ teaming up with a fellow Vancouver based company, Livestock, to produce a range of hoodies in honour of VC. The collaborative project is called “Made in Vancouver” and is said to have been influenced by the culturally diverse background of the city and its residents which is possibly why they chose hoodies – they’re one of the most universally worn items out there next to socks, pants and jeans (feel free to reply and disagree – discussion is a good thing people!).
Another influence was Vancouver’s natural surroundings and climate which influenced the choice of materials – they went for polartec thermal fleece material from Thermal Pro Fabrics which is lightweight enough to cope with VC’s summers but effective enough to help cope with the freezing winters. As always with Reigning Champ products, the beauty is in the quality and the details which include thumb holes in the ribbed cuffs to help keep your hands warm and the contrasting colours used for the two-way nickel zips which help subtly separate these quality tops from the average.
