It’s good to be proud of your roots which is why it’s nice to see goodhood brand Reigning Champ teaming up with a fellow Vancouver based company, Livestock, to produce a range of hoodies in honour of VC. The collaborative project is called “Made in Vancouver” and is said to have been influenced by the culturally diverse background of the city and its residents which is possibly why they chose hoodies – they’re one of the most universally worn items out there next to socks, pants and jeans (feel free to reply and disagree – discussion is a good thing people!).

Since we’ve just put our new Reigning Champ stock out in the store and up on the website we thought it would be a good time to share a little background on the brand just in case anyone’s not already familiar with the Canadian fleece specialists. If you already know the score you can click the pic above to see what we’ve got in-store.
Reigning Champ was started in Vancouver, Canada when premium sweat manufacturers CYC Design decided to launch their own in-house clothing range. They had previously built up worldwide-aclaim as the go-to sweat producers for a number of the most respected brands in the game, most famously Supreme and Alife.
Having come to dominate the premium sweat industry during a decade spent refining the quality of their product it was only natural that they should branch out with their own line to showcase the results of their years of hard work.
Reigning Champ produces clothing in a simple, timeless style, drawing on influences from a range of North American classics and ensuring that fabric, construction, and fit always remain to the fore in their designs. A Reigning Champ sweat is guaranteed to stand the test of time in terms of both style and quality and will come to be a cornerstone of the owner’s wardrobe.

Recent addition to the goodhood stable, Reigning Champ, have already wowed us with their recent collection of top quality gear, and now they’re pushing our buttons once with this top-end collaboration – Happy days! This time they’ve hooked up with Surrender, a hot brand from Singapore, to create the thermal lined “3XDry” coach’s jacket. The Jacket combines a very effective thermal lining with a Schoeller 3XDry treatment to the outer layer which keeps things waterproof but with the added benefit of breathability.

Let’s continue with the introductions to our newest brands – today the final newcomer, Reigning Champ. Although Reigning Champ are a relative newcomer to the scene, they have a very strong pedigree and the company was born out of roughly 10 years worth of research and fine tuning to create products that, whilst subtly designed, scream top quality. The company is based out of Vancouver in Canada and concentrate on producing high-end jersey sweats where the quality, design, fit and details are all paramount to the finished product. Reigning Champ was started by CYC Design who are seriously respected, heavyweight manufacturer who have previously worked with all the greats – Alife, Supreme, Engineered Garments…so when we say Reigning Champ came to market with a serious pedigree, we meant it!
