One Denim hailed as “jeans for true denim connoisseurs,” are an amalgamation of all the icons of the best known denim brands. Its spec reads like a roll call of the most arrogant pair of jeans you ever wanted. There’s a whole load of details that make these appeal to the denim purists. Purist or not its the subverted details that really make me smile – you could look at them like a progression from where Evisu let go.. i can hear the Levi’s coorporate lawyers now.. but its an arcuate upside down! Long time friend of Goodhood store, Mark Westmoreland put together these jeans with the help Shiotoni Brothers of Japan. The back pocket stitching while being the inverted trademarks of 2 of the most famous denim brands neatly reads as an M & W the initials of the creator.  The shank button is a repro of the Carhartt’s old railroad button, the x bartacks on the back pockets are ofcourse a nod to Lee’s alternative to a rivet. This pair features the cowhide back patch again a famous Lee characteristic featuring a branded pair of googly eyes, custom created for me. There is a one piece fly again a nod to a famous heritage make up namely Boss of the Road Jeans, an indigo back tab – you know how techy Levi’s get about red ones! The rest of the jeans are made up as you’d expect, no expense or details spared and have been spoken on some blogs as the best jeans they have ever seen! Makes me wonder why Levi’s/Evisu don’t hold on to the talent that passes through their ever revolving doors.
