Fog Linen are based in Japan and started in 1993, with owner Yumiko Sekine importing used books and homewares from Europe and America to Japan. She was unable to find everyday linens that were used throughout her childhood, and this lead her to Lithuania; one of the worlds biggest linen exporters and where it is produced from Flax plants.
Daily Linen products were nowhere to be found even in Lithuania, so Sekine contacted linen producers themselves and began producing her own products through them. Her first collection housed seven products and now, ten years down the line the collection encompasses homewares and clothing and is at the forefront of natural lifestyles throughout the world.
