Nike Terminator OG

Features

The Nike Terminator is back, 37 years after its original debut. Following the blink-and-you-missed-it sell out of the OG granite/obsidian colourway, the journey continues with the excellent snakeskin iteration.

A cult classic silhouette with an animal print update? It's right up our street. To celebrate the release of the shoe, we took a few pairs over to our Curtain Road Store, and put them on the feet of some of the most sartorially educated people we know; our staff and customers.

ZACK

Who are you, where are you from, and what do you do?

I'm a photographer and sales assistant, I'm from Lewisham in South East London.

What are you wearing today?

I'm wearing some wide black classic black workpants, a white tee, and a Stussy sweater vest, and a blue beanie.

What is the first Nike shoe you ever bought?

The Air Force III. It was red, white and blue, at the time I had never seen this shoe before, but that was the first Nike shoe I had ever got.

Your friend is coming to town to experience London for the first time. Where are you taking them?

Halo Burger in Brixton. They do the best milkshakes, I'd take them to go get a milkshake. We're definitely getting Afterhours in New Cross too, that's a hidden gem.

NEVEN

Who are you, where are you from, and what do you do?

I'm Neven, I'm the Assistant Store Manager at Goodhood.

What are you wearing today?

I'm kitted out in Carhartt WIP today, my trousers and knitted jumper are both by Carhartt. I've also got a vintage shirt on underneath.

You've got a day off and you're hanging out in East London. What are you getting up to?

I love a good Dalston charity shop, I'd spend a lot of time digging through those. I'd take myself to a coffee shop or sandwich shop near London Fields, buy myself a nice bouquet of flowers.

What's the first Nike shoe you ever bought?

The Nike Vapormax in white. I got them a few of sizes too big because that's all I could get, I got a UK7 and I'm a UK4. But they were great, I loved them.

What's the best exhibition you've seen in London lately?

Exhibitions are a good day-off treat. This isn't that recent, but the best exhibition I've been to recently was Francis Bacon and the Royal Academy. I got an RA memebership two years in a row just so I could go and see the show - it kept getting postponed, but I finally saw it. I literally cried at how beautiful it was in every room. The layout, the colours, the whole thing, it's beautiful.

GEORGE

Who are you, where are you from and what do you do?

My name is George, I grew up in Bath but moved to London 4 years ago. I'm Goodhood's Visual Merchandising Manager.

What are you wearing today?

Today I'm wearing one of my favourite knits, a cotton crewneck from Stussy x No Vacancy Inn and Carhartt WIP Double Knees.

What’s the first Nike shoe you ever bought?

The first shoe I ever bought in terms of sneakers was a Nike Air Max 97 Neon.

What have you been listening to lately?

Blood Orange and Brent Faiyaz are my usual go to's in the morning, however I've also been listening to Jon Bernthal's "Real Ones" podcast a lot - it's a great listen.

DILLON

Who are you, where are you from, and what do you do?

My names Dillon and I work for Goodhood. I'm originally from Leicester, I came down to London couple of years ago to study Media & Communications at Goldsmiths.

What are you wearing today?

I've got a bit of a "Goodhood uniform" on today. I'm wearing a Goods By Goodhood heavyweight longsleeve t-shirt, a silver Goods By Goodhood chain, double knee Carhartt WIP trousers, and a black cap.

Your friend is coming to town for the first time and you're their tour guide. Where are you taking them?

I've got a softspot for South London, I'm living in Peckham right now. I'd give them a tour of that side of town; Peckham, New Cross, there's a good range of pubs there. Maybe go down to South Bank for a walk along the Thames. A lot of pubs.

What's the first Nike shoe you ever bought?

I was really young when I started wearing Nikes, I think there's a really old photo wearing all white Nike Air Force 1s. When I started working and wearing my own shoes, bought a lot of Air Max 95s, a lot of the crazier colourways. 95s will always be a staple for me.

You’ve got a day off and you’re in East London. What are you getting up to?

First stop would always be Origin Coffee or All Press for a coffee and pastry. I love east because it's super chill, just a nice area to meet with friends, get some food and catch up, something you might struggle to do in central areas as they're always so busy.

Whats have you been listening to lately?

Football is on right now, so a lot of pub songs. A lot of Rolling Stones, Sympathy for the Devil is a great song I've been listening to lately. A lot of Gorillaz too.

JOSH

Who are you, where are you from, and what do you do?

I'm Josh, I'm from South East London, I'm a freelance videographer, DJ and producer.

What are you wearing today?

I'm wearing Stone Island knit, some Carhartt WIP cargo trousers, and a vest.

What's the first Nike shoe you ever bought?

I got my first pair of Nikes when I first started skating, they were a red and black pair of Nike SB Blazer Mids.

Your friend is coming to town for the first time and you're their tour guide. Where are you taking them?

Food spots, realistically. Lots of good food spots. Supa Ya Ramen in Dalston comes to mind first.

What's the best exhibition you've seen in London lately?

The last really good exhibition I saw was at the Strand quite a while ago, they played this amazing film about Kendrick Lamar. I ended up writing my dissertation based on that film.

JAMES

Who are you, where are you from, and what do you do?

I'm James, I'm from Swansea, I moved to London to study photography.

What are you wearing today?

Some Dickies 874s, a thrifted jacket and thrifted hoodie.

What's the first Nike shoe you ever bought?

Probably some Nike Blazers. I skated in them everyday when I was growing up. Grant Taylor style.

Your friend is coming to London for the first time and you're their tour guide. Where are you taking them?

Most of my friends from Swansea have never been to London, and they all skate, so South Bank is quite high on the list, as well as some other skate spots in central.

What are you up to in London today?

I came through to Goodhood for a browse, and I'm going to go for a skate later, and maybe a walk too, listen to some music, read a book, and head to a cafe.

Best spot in East London?

Francos in Shoreditch is the spot for food. Proper Italian, the food and the vibe is great. As for pubs, some of my friends work at the Seabright Arms in Cambridge Heath, that's a great pub. Brick Lane for coffee too.
