The Shape Of Things To Come
Our buyers dive into the upcoming season’s collections to show you some of their spring/summer highlights, and some of the new brands we'll be showcasing over the next few months...
Having returned to womenswear last season, Unused delivers another outstanding collection. Insanely popular in their Native Tokyo and exclusive to Goodhood in Europe, this season they deliver a selection of muted shades alongside bright safety orange, pastel tie-dye, patterning and contrast stitching.
OUR LEGACY New
This season marks Our Legacy’s first women’s collection, and we’re proud to be one of the few to stock the Swedish brand. A staple to our menswear offerings, we’ve started with a collection that really shows what the label’s all about. There’s lots of raw silk and ‘80s-style knits, a perfectly-executed contrast between natural raw and tech fabrics, and a focus on shapes, silhouettes and construction, the brand’s trademarks.
Ashley Williams continues to prove why she’s a design tour-de-force with a collection that picks up from the last, a continual evolution of the designer’s ability to expertly reference the past. There’s a more of the ‘80s/’90s threads seen in previous season alongside acid prints, tie-dye, and signature sloganeering.
Toga is a Japanese brand that’s also joining the Goodhood ranks. Another for the Margiela fans, the label pays homage to the perfect simplicity of the primitive garment of the same name. It promotes a hybrid aesthetic that elevates the ready-to-wear styling with distinct high fashion detailing and for the first season we’re featuring Toga Archive pieces, a green and brown colour story, plus a Toga x Porter collab with sublime metal hardware.
A key member of the Goodhood family, Fergus Purcell and Sofia Prantera’s Aries returns with another collection that seamlessly blends Purcell’s inimitable graphic prints with Prantera’s high fashion elements. It’s no wonder they’re considered one of the best labels currently around, and this season looks towards more unisex offerings, printed shorts, folklore and pagan symbolism and watercolour tie-dye.
Perks And Mini never fail to deliver, and this season showcases their ‘Strange Loops’ collection seemingly centred around mysticism, post-humanism, and the undersea. There’s the usual mix of classic graphic tees alongside oversized team sports jerseys, cut-out dresses and tops, ribbed fabrics and patterned mesh.
ports 1961 New
Ports 1961 is a luxury brand that’s new to Goodhood. Designed in London and produced in Italy, the label has a global outlook and an unwavering emphasis on quality, functionality and timeless understated style. It’s one for the MM6 Maison Margiela and Zucca fans to watch, featuring runway-ready pieces in bright bold patterns, leather sandals and striking tassel sneakers.
Cult Tokyo brand and Nepenthes family member Needles enters its sophomore women's season here at Goodhood, and with it comes a collection that shows the brand doing what it does best. Namely, rebuild across flannel shirts, college sweats and tie-dye, intricate patterning and unusual fabrics, and ribbon tape track pants.
