Accounts Assistant (6 Months FTC)

 


We are looking for an accounts assistant to join our finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain exposure to all aspects of a finance department within a fast-growing, dynamic environment, offering the chance for development as the role grows with the business. This is initially a six-month contract with the potential for a permanent position.

 

Responsibilities
 

  • Process and code supplier invoices & expenses onto Xero, ensuring integrity of data
  • Co-ordinate approval of invoices with managers
  • Preparation of weekly payment runs in an accurate and timely manner
  • Communicate with suppliers, investigating and managing any queries/discrepancies
  • Reconcile supplier statements and accounts with full ownership of the aged creditors report
  • Process multi-currency bank reconciliations
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT return
  • Match stock receipted into the warehouse with supplier invoices
  • Support with various month-end activities including the submission of petty cash and credit card reconciliations, preparing and posting accruals/prepayment/depreciation journals
  • Assist in maintaining the fixed asset register
  • Sales reconciliations and posting of sales journals
  • Liaise with the retail store for finance related queries
  • Maintain good relationships internally and externally
  • Involved in the continuous development of a robust control environment
  • General administrative support to Finance Manager and ad hoc tasks/analysis as required

 

Requirements & Skills


  • Previous experience working in a finance department, preferably Accounts Payable experience
  • Graduate calibre with positive and inquisitive attitude who is able to use their own initiative
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Good organisational & communication skills
  • Xero experience desirable
  • Microsoft Office experience, specifically proficient in Excel
  • Part-qualified or looking to work towards an accounting designation (CIMA/ACCA)

Web Dispatch Assistant 


We are looking for a full-time member of staff to join our growing Web Dispatch and Customer Service team. You would be a key component in the management and delivery of our online sales, as well as and a spokesperson for the brand across multiple channels. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Picking and processing online sales 
  • Answering and resolving customer queries across multiple channels
  • Management of workflow against KPIs
  • Assisting with the ongoing  improvement of our order processing operation
  • Assisting with the management of our inventory accuracy and stock movement

    Digital Marketing Assistant 


    We are looking for an exceptionally organised and enthusiastic Digital Marketing Assistant to support the team with optimising the online customer journey and achieving the long-term e-commerce business objectives. The ideal candidate would have both strong analytical skills and a creative flair.

     

    Responsibilities 

  • You will play a key role in ensuring product is appropriately merchandised for e-commerce campaigns, homepages, emails, and features
  • Merchandise new pages to support seasonal or marketing themes to drive sales
  • Review merchandising daily and update to accordingly to balance visual aesthetic with supporting sales targets  
  • Update and maintain the on-site navigation and search bar
  • Daily site checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of information and assets
  • Log any copy/image errors, and communicate to the relevant teams to correct
  • Analyse site trading weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly to understand customers' needs across different markets and identify opportunities for growth
  • Produce competitor research reports and keep up to date with tech developments
  • Support the PR Manager on developing relationships, press send outs and ad-hoc requests
  • Support the wider team on ad-hoc administrative tasks

  • Proficient across Keynote, Google Sheets and Excel
  • Google Analytics experience desired, but not essential
  • Previous experience using a CMS beneficial

    Assistant Copywriter 


    We are looking for an Assistant Copywriter who is passionate about the products and brands we stock, and able to articulate the stories behind them into the written form. The Assistant Copywriter will support the Digital Content Strategist and Copywriter on producing copy across our all of channels.

     

    Responsibilities 

  • Produce compelling subject lines to increase open rates of newsletters
  • Produce copy for social platforms to support both brand and product storytelling
  • Produce product page copy, with a flair for pulling out key product features which may not be obvious in the photograph
  • Produce all the brand biographies across Men’s, Women’s, Life Store, Beauty and Jewellery categories
  • Regulating and checking any relevant size, fit and care information fed from the buyers to maximize customers’ ease of selection and shopping on the site
  • Meet daily target number of descriptions a day, and be measured both on productivity and content accuracy and quality
  • Proofreading and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all information across the whole site
  • Researching and pitching editorial content ideas which are aligned with the brand

    Buying Admin Assistant


    This is an exciting opportunity for a Buying Admin Assistant or recent graduate looking for a new challenge. The ideal candidate would have experience working within a buying department, a positive attitude, strong self-motivation, great communication and interpersonal skills as well as a strong work ethic and passion for Goodhood’s product.

     

    Responsibilities 

  • Provide administrative support to the Buying team across Mens, Womens & Lifestore
  • Schedule appointments both domestic and during international market
  • Critical path management of product, i.e order confirmations, price checks, upload of orders onto the system, confirming delivery dates, informing all departments of ETA’s
  • Multi-task and be highly organised when collating, recording all required information for product development

    Front-End Developer

     

    We are looking for an experienced front-end developer to work on our website and digital platforms.


    Responsibilities

    • Meeting and discussing UI/UX proposals with the Goodhood design team 
    • Developing front-end web components from supplied graphic designs 
    • Formatting complex 'magazine' style web posts 
    • Cross-browser and device testing 
    • Debugging and amending issues as reported 
    • Working with the existing Goodhood IT team for implementation

    Requirements

    • Must be able hand-code HTML / CSS / JavaScript 
    • Must have experience with responsive HTML design and CSS breakpoints 
    • At least some experience with common JavaScript frameworks like jQuery etc. 
    • At least some experience with Sass (or similar CSS languages like Less) 
    • Some experience with basic PHP (like 'if', 'else', and 'for each' control statements) is preferred 
    • Some experience with code versioning (such as Subversion or Github) is preferred 
    • Some experience with using SVG graphics is preferred 
    • Must be able to receive artwork in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator formats 
    • Must be available to for face-to-face meetings at Goodhood offices in Shoreditch, London
