Embedding rich Danish design, Hoptimist, founded by wood-turner Hans Gustav Ehrenreich in the late 1960s, started producing figurines in three characters - Birdie, Bimble and Bumble. With his initial idea's drawn from a circle and an ellipse, adding a playful element through the finer details, the Hoptimists became a worldwide success by the 1970s. Today, the design principles remain true to their origin through the classic and new generation of characters, and it is exactly that which allows them to continue in their success. Adding that element of playfulness to any room in the house, the whole idea behind the Hoptimists is to spread joy and put a smile on everyone's face.
