DOR & TAN is a two generational pottery studio quartet established in 2015. The pottery was born out of a desire to break away from the disposability of modern life, to create everyday objects with a more personal connection. They use sustainable energy to fire kilns and spin wheels as well as traditional techniques to hand form each object. Their ceramic aesthetic and design inspirations are a combination of Korean and Japanese pottery influences, and product designers such as Dieter Rams and Naoto Fukasawa. The finished pieces are then glazed in a natural pallet of colours foraged from their wanderings in the wilderness.
