London-based wunderkind Nicholas Daley heads to Japan, more specifically Kyoto, for this season's stand-out Roketsu dyed Aloha Shirt. Roketsu, otherwise known as 'wax-resist dyeing', is a traditional Japanese dyeing technique whereby wax is applied to a cotton fabric before it is indigo dyed, producing a beautiful contrast patterning effect. Traditional Roketsu dyeing requires over 20 unique steps before completion but when the end results are this devastatingly good we think it's worth every step.
