"I was due to do this mix for Goodhood early in the pandemic and started to really overthink it to the point where I got lost in the sauce and gave up on repeated attempts. I recently managed to put together something that I think pays tribute to an important period of time for me. Living in London between 2010-13 was formative in many ways. Plastic People played a big part in that. I also enjoyed the Ace Lobby Sunday Sessions between 2016-19 and wanted to represent these periods somehow.
The finished mix also has a nod to some of my favourite mixes in recent years by Public Possession, Chances with Wolves, Total Freedom and Pedrodollar. There’s a bit of a summer vibe and incidentally has two tracks with rain in the title, which prob says something about the summer that never was. It’s always summer somewhere though, right?"
