AELIZA is a London-based clothing brand, launched in 2020, the brand describes itself as a “dialogic study of the autonomous individual”, using clothing, design and communication as a means of exploring individuality, self-enquiry and reflection. Inspired by ELIZA, the computer psychotherapist created by Joseph Weizenbaum in 1966, AELIZA approaches each collection as a case study exploring the self. Rather than conventional streetwear, the brand has described its approach as “ethos-wear”, placing psychology, philosophy and conversation at the centre of its creative practice.
