Healing Tumeric Burcher

Naturally grounding with warm spices and natural sweetness, my take on the already existing bircher, this recipe adds some simple ingredients to take it up a notch on the health scale. Cinnamon is used to stabilise blood sugar levels and stop cravings throughout the day, turmeric the healing elixir has many properties and chia seeds offer a boost of healthy omegas, protein and fibre. 







- 50g oats
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon almond butter
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 200ml almond milk

Suggested Garnish:

- 1 tablespoon of mixed sunflower and pumpkin seeds
- ½ teaspoon poppy seeds
- 1 teaspoon goji berries
- a pinch of linseeds
- coconut shavings
- fruit – berries are best

Mix the ingredients together and soak overnight. You can add a little more almond milk if needed to loosen it up. Garnish, serve and enjoy.
