The book collects Parisian photographer Melchior Tersen’s treasure trove of tourist T-shirts. The sheer volume of Tersen’s miscellany, formed as it is by various types of souvenir shirt may reflect Tersen’s obsession with mass consumerism but also, more importantly, gives us an insight into the artist’s psyche – he writes that sleeping in a tourist T-shirt allows him to dream.
