Founded by Jun Yokoo, Fortress Solitude is the amalgamation of Yokoo’s life experiences embodied into collections. Growing up his family moved from Osaka to California, where, as a teenager, he became heavily involved in the local underground music scene, starting multiple bands, setting up the underground record label "10 Fingers On One Hand”, and becoming a founding member of the music collective S.I.T.A. Being exposed to the local creative scene through music, he became noticed for his many talents, and started making and exhibiting his artwork and drawings.

During the 90’s, he returned home to Osaka due to health problems, where he sought to realign himself, finding inner peace and influences from different sources. Focusing on a new path, Yokoo devoted his life to his garden and to meditation. His first project in over 20 years, Fortress Solitude, creates eccentric, graphic-heavy pieces for the artists and love makers among us, spreading peace to those who wear it. Being new on the scene, this Japan-based brand is an exciting addition for Goodhood, and one to keep an eye on.
