Future Days, released in 1973, is Can at their most serene — the Cologne krautrock pioneers trading the jagged edges of Tago Mago for long, drifting grooves and Damo Suzuki's dreamlike murmur. It's one of the most quietly influential records in the krautrock canon, its hypnotic pulse audible in decades of ambient, post-rock and electronic music since.
