The Pocket Scion is a handheld biofeedback instrument that turns the invisible signals of living organisms into immersive sonic experiences. Created by SCÍON, this compact, standalone device uses capacitive touch or sensor clips to translate plant or skin contact into evolving soundscapes, MIDI messages and OSC data—perfect for beginners exploring sound or professionals integrating organic inputs into audio-visual environments.
- USB or AAA battery-powered polyphonic synthesiser
- Generates sound via touch pad or sensor clips, with up to five-note polyphony
- Custom instruments developed in collaboration with Tarun Nayar (Modern Biology)
- TRS-MIDI, USB-MIDI and OSC outputs for integration into creative setups
